Planets in a room was developed by the no-profit Association Speak Science, with the collaboration of researchers and technicians from two of the main italian research institutions in Astrophysics (INAF and the Roma Tre University).
The 3d printing partner of the project is 2be3D, a small italian company that is building Planets in a room and shipping it all over the world.
We acknowledge the vast community of amateur and professionals that is actively working on innovative, open educational and outreach systems for astronomy such as DIY planetarium and virtual reality systems. Planets in a room is based on the work of this vast community of people and their experiences and shared results.
We also acknowledge Europlanet for funding the project with the Outreach Funding Scheme prize.
